1. Who we are
Canyon Glider is made by Adžić Solutions, a software studio from Serbia (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. This policy applies to the Canyon Glider apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
We follow the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (ZZPL) and, for players in the European Union and the UK, the GDPR.

Contact us about privacy2. What we collect and why
Here is every kind of data the game handles, what it is for and how long it is kept.
Player ID
On the first launch the game creates an anonymous account for you (Firebase Authentication). It's a random ID, not your name.
- Why
- To save your scores, progress and purchases, and to put you on the leaderboards.
- Legal basis
- Needed to provide the game to you (contract).
- Kept
- Until you delete your account. See section 7 for guest players.
Pilot name Public
A random pilot name is given to you at the start. You can change it (3–16 characters, once every 7 days). If you connect Google or Apple, your first name may be suggested as your pilot name, but it is only used if you accept it.
- Why
- To show you on the leaderboards and above your glider in races.
- Legal basis
- Contract.
- Kept
- Until you change it or delete your account.
Scores and game progress
Best score and distance, XP and pilot level, number of games played, storm shields, the glider and pilot designs you own and wear, whether you bought “Remove ads”, the platform (iOS/Android) and when this was last updated.
- Why
- Cloud save, so your progress survives a new phone, and the leaderboards (all-time, weekly and races).
- Legal basis
- Contract.
- Kept
- Until you delete your account.
Google or Apple sign-in Optional
If you choose “Connect account”, Google or Apple confirms who you are and gives Firebase Authentication your email address and name. With Apple you can choose “Hide My Email”, and then we only receive a private relay address.
- Why
- So you can recover your progress on another device. Your email is kept by the sign-in service only. It is not stored in the game's database, not shown to other players and not used for marketing.
- Legal basis
- Contract, at your request.
- Kept
- Until you delete your account.
Multiplayer races
Online: while you are in a race lobby, your player ID, pilot name, level, glider and pilot design, live position (sent several times a second), final distance and score are shared with the other pilots in that race through Firebase Realtime Database.
Nearby (same Wi-Fi): the same race data goes directly between the devices on your local network. No internet or server is involved. On iOS the game asks for Local Network permission for this.
- Why
- To run the race and show the other gliders.
- Legal basis
- Contract.
- Kept
- Live race data is removed when you leave the race. Your race totals (wins, races, points) go to the Races leaderboard.
To be transparent: when few people are online, some pilots in an online lobby can be computer-controlled so you don't have to wait. They fly by the same rules as you.
Game analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the game is played: events such as a run starting and ending (score, distance, duration, cause of the crash), levels, races, shop views and purchases, ads shown and settings changes. Google also records standard app data: app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate country (from the IP address), an app-instance ID, and your anonymous player ID.
- Why
- To find out if the game is too hard or too easy, fix problems and decide what to improve. We look at totals and trends, not at individual people.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in improving the game. The data is pseudonymous and never contains your name or email.
- Kept
- According to the Google Analytics data-retention setting (at most 14 months for event-level data).
Crash reports
If the game crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics sends a technical report: what went wrong in the code, device model, OS and app version, the last game steps before the error, and your anonymous player ID.
- Why
- To find and fix bugs.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest in a working game.
- Kept
- 90 days.
Advertising
The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: a banner in the menus, a full-screen ad between some runs (never during play), and an optional video you can watch to continue after a crash. AdMob processes your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device information and your interactions with ads.
- iPhone/iPad: we first explain why, then Apple asks whether we may use your advertising ID for tracking. If you say no, ads are not personalized with it.
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is shown. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & ad choices.
- If you buy Remove ads, you no longer get banners or full-screen ads.
- Why
- Ads pay for a free game.
- Legal basis
- Your consent for personalized ads. Limited, non-personalized ads rely on our legitimate interest.
- Kept
- By Google, under Google's privacy policy.
Purchases
Purchases (Remove ads, glider and pilot designs, storm shields) are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We receive only the product that was bought and a confirmation from the store, and we save the item to your progress.
- Why
- To give you what you bought, on all your devices.
- Legal basis
- Contract.
- Kept
- Until you delete your account. The store keeps its own purchase records, which is also how “Restore purchases” works.
Notifications Optional
Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) need your permission. Your device then gets a push token, which is subscribed to a general “all players” topic we use for game news. We do not send individual messages.
Reminders (for example “only 40 XP to the next level”) are scheduled on your device and never leave it. They are never sent between 21:00 and 10:00.
- Legal basis
- Your consent, which you can withdraw in your phone's settings.
- Kept
- Until you turn notifications off or uninstall the game.
Game settings and ratings
Firebase Remote Config downloads game settings (for example multiplayer options) using a Firebase installation ID. After a good run the game may show the store's own rating dialog. The store handles your rating, and we only note that the dialog was shown. Your settings, local best and a copy of your progress are stored on your device.
3. What we do not collect
- No precise or approximate location from your device's GPS.
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files.
- No chat. Players can't send each other messages.
- No payment details.
- We never sell or rent personal data, and we never share it with data brokers.
4. What other players can see
Only your pilot name, your scores (best score and distance, weekly score, race wins, races and points), your chosen glider and pilot look and your level in races. Your email, real name and player ID are never shown to other players. Leaderboards are readable by anyone using the game, so pick a pilot name that you are happy to be public.
6. Where data is stored
Our service providers operate servers in several countries, including the European Union and the United States. When data leaves Serbia or the EU, it is protected by the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards required by law.
7. How long we keep it
- Connected account (Google/Apple): as long as you have the account. Deleted when you delete it in the game.
- Guest player: your cloud save is deleted automatically 30 days after you last played. Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on the device.
- Leaderboard entries: until you delete your account. Entries on past weekly leaderboards (pilot name and score only) stay as part of that week's ranking. Ask us and we'll remove them.
- Live race data: removed when you leave the race.
- Analytics: at most 14 months. Crash reports: 90 days.
8. Your choices and controls
- Delete your account: in the game open Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your cloud save, your pilot name, your entries on the all-time, current weekly and Races leaderboards, and the account itself. Purchases remain tied to your App Store / Google Play account and can be restored.
- Ad choices: Settings → Privacy & ad choices in the game (EU/EEA/UK/CH). On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android: Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your Advertising ID.
- Notifications: turn them off any time in your phone's settings.
- Local Network (iOS): you can deny it. Only Nearby races stop working.
- Pilot name: change it in the game (once every 7 days).
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect processing done before). To use a right, contact us through the form. Tell us your pilot name so we can find your data. We reply within 30 days.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Serbia, that's the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. In the EU, it's the data protection authority of your country.
10. Children
Canyon Glider has an “everyone” age rating because of its content, but it is not designed for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EU) without a parent's permission. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
All data is sent over encrypted connections. Cloud data is protected by access rules that only let you read and change your own private data, and that check every score before it is accepted. Access to the Firebase and AdMob consoles is limited to us.
12. Changes and contact
If we change how the game uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the game. Questions, requests or complaints are welcome:
